Dr. Afroza Parvin, SFHEA

Afroza Parvin is a Professor of Architecture Discipline and Provost of Bangamata Begum Fajilatunnesa Mujib Hall of Khulna University. She has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Khulna University and completed Master of Science in Urban Planning, and PhD in Urban Design from The University of Hong Kong. Afroza is a Commonwealth Scholar and did her post-doctoral research at University College London. She is the recipient of Fulbright Visiting Research Scholarship 2015 hosted by The University of Texas at Austin. Afroza was the founding director of Institute of Fine Arts, Khulna University. She has received and conducted series of training/workshop/seminar and consultation on academic leadership & management, continuing professional development, and pedagogy in higher education from home and abroad. Afroza’s research interest includes settlement planning; city morphology; space syntax; disaster impact and adaptation; urban informality; and research in higher education. Her current research focuses on issues surrounding water-resilient urbanization and academic leadership in higher education.
